DEEP invites you to join their upcoming workshop on Thursday, 3 October from 6:30pm – 9pm at the Dunbar Community Centre.

Post-Disaster Building Assessment (PDBA) enables communities impacted by a disaster situation, like earthquakes, to more rapidly assess the safety of structures and allow people to remain in or return to their homes and businesses as soon as possible. This reduces the social impact of such events, allowing communities to recover more quickly and reducing the impact on emergency and social service resources.

DEEP will be offering Rapid Damage Assessment again this fall. The course material is based on the BC Housing program. There is no charge for the course; the accompanying booklets can be purchased at cost ($8 per copy) and are also available from BC Housing for $14.78. Note: BC Housing charges $70 per person for this course.

Space is limited to 40 participants.  To register, please see DEEP’s page directly: Register for Rapid Damage Assessment Workshop
