Dear Community Centre Patrons,
Due to the recent pipeline rupture in Northern BC, the City encourages all residents to reduce their natural gas usage whenever possible to help conserve gas resources. In light of this situation, the City is taking steps to reduce our use of natural gas including shutting down our asphalt plant and lowering thermostats at all City – staff occupied buildings, including community centres and facilities.
Please note that the facility temperature may be a bit cooler than usual. Please dress accordingly with warm clothing while participating in our programs.
You can lower your own gas use at home by turning down your thermostat, reducing your use of gas-powered hot water and cooking appliances and turning off fireplaces.
